Review: Dr. Jart Silver Label Rejuvenating BB Cream

This bb cream has always been one of my favorites. Whenever people with oily skin ask me what bb cream I can recommend to them, I always mention this one. I like it so much because it has almost all the qualities I'm looking for in a bb cream. I have been using this for a long time already and hasn't caused me any breakouts. Although you have to remember that our skin may react differently to a certain beauty product. One may work very well for me, but not for others.

Let's now get into details.

Dr. Jart Silver Label Rejuvenating BB Cream comes in a simple silver tube with black cap. Personally, I prefer bb creams that come in tubes with pump because that is more hygienic.

It promises to give a flawless look to skin, conceal blemishes, activate skin rejuvenation, whiten skin, soothe red irritated skin, control oil and at the same time moisturize. Wow, that's a lot right?
I don't know about skin rejuvenation and whitening but, it does really make my skin look flawless and less oily, and it evens out my skin tone.

One very noticeable thing is that it conceals the pores on my nose well that I can even skip using pore balm. This is a very big plus to me because some bb creams tend to emphasize pores instead of hiding them.

The cream itself is thick, so if you have dry skin, I suggest you use moisturizer first before applying this so you'll be able to blend it easily and smoothly on your face. I also suggest using a stippling brush rather than ordinary foundation brush. Stippling brush makes it easier for me to blend bb creams up to my hair line.

Naturally, I have visible veins and some pimple marks on my cheeks, but you cannot see them in the pictures. That proves that the coverage is really good, almost foundation-like.

This comes only in 1 shade and has grayish undertone. At first application, it looks too light for me. It takes about 20 minutes until it finally matches my skin tone. Thankfully, the grayish color doesn't show at all. My face looks a bit brighter and I like that. I still wish that the undertone was yellowish, though.

Is it moisturizing? Not much. I have oily t-zone so it doesn't really matter to me. I always use moisturizer before putting on makeup anyway.

Summary Review

Likes:
Good coverage (no need for a concealer for minor blemishes)

Good oil control (i find it best to set it with palgantong powder)
Semi-matte finish (I have combination skin so this is a good thing for me)
Feels light and not cakey despite the good coverage
Long Lasting  (with the help of my primer too)
Doesn't have strong scent
Didn't cause me breakouts

Dislikes:
Comes only in one shade (suits only light to medium skin tone)
Packaging doesn't come with pump
Has grayish undertone (If only the undertone was yellow it would be perfect!)
Kinda pricey

If you have oily/combination skin with blemishes and on the search for a good bb cream, I suggest you try this.
I hope you like it too, as much as I do. Good luck! :)
